Creating a
Mankato Community Market Place
in City Center Mankato
An informal meeting has been scheduled to assess interest in creating a single community market place for the various separate markets in Mankato.
The thought behind a single community market place is that such a location could create a “one stop shop” for customers seeking the specialty retail of a market. The destination itself would become an attraction as the market expands. By offering fresh produce, crafts, art and more all at one location it would combine the customer bases of all markets and broaden visibility for everyone involved. Furthermore a City Center location offers a strong connection to community as it’s the regional hub of Arts, Culture, Events, Entertainment, and Specialty Retail. It also offers convenient connections to businesses, employees, residents, tourists, transit, parking, highways and more all set in an attractive, walkable and vibrant downtown.
